What it's like to fish with 41 metres of pole! During my early years, this was a Guinness World Record attempt with a Shimano Speedmaster and umpteen extensions!

This bream went 11lb 8oz and was actually taken on the pole! The aftermath of an unbelievable feature at Clumber Park with my friend Nick Speed. Nick caught slabs to over 12lb and by the end of the day they were lining up to be caught at 13 metres.

Match anglers will do anything to get out on the bank! During the winter of 2010 - 2011 everywhere shut down for weeks but not Lindholme. A 13 ton excavator broke ice up to 8ins thick as far as the digger arm would allow (7m) on Oasis Lake and we all caught! (See features section for a subsequent feature on Extreme Fishing)

Oxford's Rolf's Lake is full of big fish and during a feature with local Jon Walker, I couldn't resist a quick go as he had caught carp to 21lb on the pole! I was soon into this 17lb fish, a personal best as I never fish for specimen carp deliberately.
